Pacific Coast Dreamin’ Barefoot Ball to Benefit the Bolsa Chica Conservancy

Posted on: Jul 17, 2016 / Events-News / 0 COMMENTS

Save the Date - Bolsa Chica BallOver the past 26 years, the Bolsa Chica Conservancy has successfully raised more than $2 million. The funds raised have enabled the Conservancy to continue our vital, long-term study and quest for environmental education and conservation. The Conservancy hopes that you will join us in raising money to expand our programs that have benefited more than 500,000 students, volunteers, and members of the community over the years. The annual fundraising gala benefits the Bolsa Chica Conservancy’s science-based education programs focused on wetland ecology, watersheds, coastal ecosystems, and environmental conservation. During the event, the Conservancy also presents the Conservator of the Year award to an individual that promotes and sponsors the ideals of environmental conservation. The 2016 Conservator of the Year is Captain Charles Moore, founder of the Algalita Marine Education and Research Institute. Captain Moore is credited for discovering the garbage patch in the south Pacific and has brought the issue of plastics pollution to the forefront. Proceeds from the event will also help us continue to pursue plans for our Center for Coastal Ecology.

For more information on our fifth annual fundraising gala, please contact Leary Salupen at leary@bolsachica.org. For sponsorship requests, please contact Grace Adams at grace@bolsachica.org. You may also call our office at 714.846.1114.
