Become A Naturalist!
We provide a variety of Wetlands Education programs for ages PreK-College. From fun activities that cover wetland ecology and history to outdoor science labs there is always something exciting and new to learn at the wetlands! Help us provide fun interactive programs for students, scouts and adults by becoming a Naturalist. We provide training for all of our Naturalists and Assistant Naturalists.

Susan and Nathan assist the Conservancy in removing invasive plants on the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. Invasive plant species can disrupt the natural growth of native plants and cause harm to animal habitats.

Restoration Projects

Help us restore the Bolsa Chica Wetlands! Every last Saturday of the month from 9:00am-12:00pm. Meet at our Interpretive Center at 3842 Warner Ave. Huntington Beach, CA 92649. Make sure to wear close-toed shoes, layered clothing, protection from the sun and bring water. Ages 6 years-Adult. Donations of heavy duty trash bags assist us greatly!

Taking our Youth to New Heights
The Conservancy offers a leadership program for youth ages 13-18 aimed at inspiring them to become the next generation of environmental leaders. The Youth Leadership in Environmental Action Program (YLEAP) is a twelve-month program that kicks off in August of 2013 and provides a unique opportunity for local youth to about learn about environmental issues and gain important skills such as public speaking, leadership and native habitat restoration.
